BattleCry, America and the RPGA proudly present the Roleplaying part of BattleCry, proudly sponsored by Vagabonds and the RPGA.
The roleplaying tournaments will consist of a variety of games from all manner of systems, including D20, White Wolf, and many others. Some will also be systemless, which have no published rules as such.
The Roleplaying will be held both days, in four hour sessions, 2 on Saturday and 2 on Sunday. The morning sessions run from 9am to 1pm, with an hour lunch break, and the afternoon sessions run from 2pm to 6pm.
You get to choose which sessions you want to play in, and what games to play. The GM’s who are running the games will advertise their games, during the day.
The GM’s game blurbs for the first session on Saturday morning will be listed here on the website for you to pre-register your interest in the games.
The roleplaying is for enjoyment, there will be no rigid points structure over the weekend. There are prizes, however, which are chosen by your peers, for such things as Best Character Persona, Best Death, Most Nominated Player and much more, looking at the effort made by the individuals and on spontaneous moments of classic roleplaying.
For more information please email us on info@theamericaclub.net.nz
Listed below are the games to be played on Saturday Morning (section 1 of 4).
Our intention is to have preregistrations include which game you want to play.
Before Section 1 plays, the afternoon games will be advertised (many will be from below), and a quick indication of interest will be made. The games and players in them will be displayed after the morning games are finished.
Again, we are flexible, and if you have any questions ask the Roleplaying organisers, or at info@theamericaclub.net.nz
run by Glenn. AKA Camelot IN SPAAAAAAAAAACE! (Hero System, AKA Champions)
With Earth being invaded from Outer Space, it seems England (along with, incidently, the rest of the world), is in it’s greatest danger. And, as prophesied, King Arthur will return…
Players play normal people who turn out to be the reincarnations of Arthur and his Knights. Somewhat inherently cheesy, but not a satire or comedy game.

You’re a brave little toy fighting to stay alive in a magical world filled with demons and gaint toy eating dogs. You seek to learn the truth about where toyscome from and why your kind is hunted down. You travel with several other toys, each wanting to know the same thing you do.
Toy’s on the Run is a dark comedy RP for 6-7 players.
run by Haden.
You offered them the world, for a time, and all you asked for was remembrance.
Now you have returned, battle worn, home sick and above all victorious, to find a world chained in logic, minds trapped by the church, and groves barred by disbelief.
They promised they would leave your sacred places intact, sing your songs, and leave the offerings as had been the way since you raised them from the status of animals, so you could fight a war to keep the world safe.
And when the war was over, they would stand aside for their saviors.
They lied.

The Furrier’s Guild, the College of Magic, the House of Scale, and Talarin Notiro, a marshal of the Kalokopeli Forest all have something to lose and something to gain.
Unfortunately, no one can agree with one another and the dispute is becoming problematic.
Who do you help? Who do you trust? And what’s with all the otters?
This game is set in the Kingdoms of Kalamar, with a medieval fantasy setting, using the DnD system.
For up to 6 players

Three couples come together after years apart, and find things similar, yet not the same. As in real life, ‘masks’ are worn, yet slowly the paint fades.
6 players preferably 3 male, 3 female (gender bending is fine, but I find players have higher ‘buy in’ this way.)
Modern Contemporary Adult Drama
Warning This game deals with strong adult themes, is designed to elicit intense emotional response and deals with issues of abuse, infidelity, sex and sexuality. The game is best suited to mature advanced players, those seeking to delve into the minds of real characters, dealing with strong relationships and modern issues.

Ra smiles on a two-thousand year legacy. Rameses II, the earthly ncarnation of Horus has risen to the throne, promising a new age of prosperity. The harvest is good, the workers are content, and today is tomb-preparation-day.
What could possibly go wrong?
