[Sunday] Mordavia

BattleCry and the NZLarp Society presents a

Mordavian Experience

Mordavia is a dark fantasy live action roleplaying game (LARP). The game includes combat with safe weapons, but the emphasis is on good roleplaying and immersive atmosphere. We have two weekend-long games per year, and the most recent had over 70 participants, and several smaller one-day events. The lost kingdom of Mordavia lies deep in the Carpathian mountain ranges, shrouded in a misty valley. It is a place of dark magic and strange races, largely isolated from the outside world. Over the last century is has been blighted by a huge Swamp that overwhelming villages and towns as it spreads. Over the next few years, the actions of the players will decide whether Mordavia will sucumb to these dark influences or break free.

From 2pm to 6pm on the Sunday, the NZLarp Society team will be running a brief game to showcase the Mordavia Larp.

“Meanwhile, near Carpathia…

Theft seems to be the buzzword of the day as the priceless jewellery of two minor nobles has been pilfered. One noble, now waiting in a hamlet three days south of Carpathia, has raised a small force of townsfolk and adventurers to seek out and deal to the thieves while returning her precious heirloom. The other, a minor noble of Carpathia, has contracted a handful of Mercenary Guild members to recover her precious article.”

Player cap set at 10. Crew needed. Briefings, costuming and gear hire will begin at 2pm.

Please note: Players from Mordavia are advised not to bring their characters unless they can think of a good way to leave wherever they currently are, arrive in a village in the middle of nowhere, and also get back to Berium in less than a week. A few new characters may be able to continue their characters at the upcoming Mordavia weekend game, given logistics arrangements.
