The Games in Detail

===========================================
Many Bothans Died…
It is a dark time for the Rebel Alliance. The secret plans for the evil Galactic Empire’s DEATH STAR, obtained at the cost of many Rebel lives, have vanished along with their courier.
The Rebellion has little time to assemble a team to find and retrieve the plans in time for their rendezvous with Princess Leia Organa of Alderaan. DARTH VADER and his feared 501st Stormtrooper Legion furiously hunt for the plans as well. With no other hope of stopping the terrifying threat of the Death Star, the freedom of the entire galaxy rests in the hands of a few.
Many Bothans may die to bring the Rebellion this information…
System: Star Wars SAGA Edition (d20)
Players: 4 to 6

Raiders of the Lost Park*
Welcome to the pulp action world of 1930-something! With feats of implausible courage, ridiculously smooth lines, impossibly accurate shooting, and the ability to always keep hold of their hats, the main characters will track down ancient lost treasures, solve riddles of forgotten civilizations, and escape perilous traps. Featuring such mighty protagonists as The Square-Jawed Hero, The Movie Babe, and the Mysterious Kung-Fu Guy.
*I swear, on advice from my lawyers, that I have never heard of a franchise called Indiana Jones
Game Style: Pulp action comedy
System: Odds/Evens – Simple
Players: 4 to 6

Pigs in Space
It is the year 2201 and due to genetic experimentation the McDonald-Starbucks MegaCorp have been able to successfully breed giant un-intelligent pigs as part of their Super-Ham project for increased pork production and decreased ethical concerns. Unfortunately for some unknown reason one in every 500 or so pigs are born normal size and super-intelligent (for pigs), and due the actions of various animal rights groups these pigs have been allowed to be sent to a special planet of their own where they can live normally.
This is the story of six such pigs who find themselves on a spacecraft heading for this world with some deep doubts as to exactly what lies in store for them.
Game Style: Comedy
System: Systemless
Players: 3 to 6

Black Mongoose - Unfortunately, this game will no longer be offered this year. The GM will be running Focus Group instead
Black Mongoose in an off-the-record black-ops team in the U.S. Special Operations Command (SOCOM). They are charged with performing highly dangerous missions the U.S. Military cannot afford to risk being connected with. SOCOM has just received a tip-off about possible domestic terrorism, and the brass has decided Black Mongoose is the team for the job.
Game Style: Action

Focus Group
You’re a cross section of average Americans, brought to the BCNCB studio to be an opinion panel to watch and give feedback on a new show, as part of the network’s market research. Or at least that’s how the day starts.
Game Style: Action/Drama.
System: Systemless
Players: 3-6.

“Legend of the Five Rings: Questions of Honour”
Welcome to Rokugan, a land of duty-bound samurai and mystical shugenja, a place where honour is a force more powerful than steel. In the wake of the coronation of Empress Iweko I, a group of samurai are sent to investigate an outbreak of plague in an outlying province. But not all is as it seems, and the key to a deadly mystery may lie with a long-forgotten duel fought a thousand years earlier.

GMing at Battlecry For those who are willing to run a game at Battlecry, please e-mail us with your intention to do so at info@theamericaclub.net.nz and provide a brief blurb on what the game is about so that we can post it on the webpage above. If you are paying for participation in any tournament, you can gain a $5 reimbursement if you run a game in one of the sessions. For running games in multiple sessions and thereby excluding yourself from qualification for prizes in the two-day tournaments, you will not be charged for the event.

PRIZES & ELIGIBILITY
Awards of Top Player and Top GM are chosen by votes. Each game players and GM’s get up to 2 voting forms where they nominate people for awards. The nominations might be for great roleplaying, or an excellent one-liner, or pulling off a daring plan, or even just because they were just so darn lucky. You might vote for the GM for an awesome game, excellent accents of the badies, for such a creative adventure. At the end of the fourth round all the votes are counted, taking into account how many sessions the nominated played or GM’d in.
Each of the GM’s have a special prize to award to someone in their game(s) who they think deserves the special award. Their reasons for awarding it are their own and we disavow any involvement in the final selection, honest!
