It’s New York. It’s the roaring 1920’s. It’s the height of the glitzy era of theatre. The World War is over and It’s the opening night of the new opera “The Terrible Tale of Lord Falminstien” on Broadway. It’s a musical extravaganza…in fact the show should be the talk of the town come tomorrow morning.
The LARP this year is a No-Combat Murder Mystery set in the 1920’s written by firsttime LARP writer Cameron Burns. The setting for the LARP will be the after party of an opening night performance. Pre-registration is encouraged as additional characters may have to be written. Costuming is Highly encouraged, But need not be spectacular, even if merely the level of collared shirt and dress pants.
Tv shows and plays to watch for inspiration for theme, costume and feel of the Larp include:
Chicago (this is probably the best one)
King Kong
The Untouchables
The opening squence of Indiana Jones and the Temple of doom
Anything set in the 1920’s/30’s
